Gwendoline is an award winning actress, musician and writer.
Gwendoline got her dramatic breakthrough role starring as "Number 3" in the Emmy winning Western Broken Trail about five Chinese girls sold into prostitution in the 1800s which garnered her a NAMIC Vision award nomination for best supporting actress. She was personally selected by multiple Oscar winning Robert Duvall after a worldwide search for the role to star opposite him. Gwendoline’s comedic breakthrough resulted from a very successful recurring guest star role as innocent turned naughty maid Xiao-Mei on Desperate Housewives which led to an offer for a series regular contract the next season.
She recurred on critically acclaimed series American Crime, created and directed by Oscar winner John Ridley (12 Years A Slave), as Oklahoma born Sargent “Richelle” alongside a racist mother-in-law portrayed by Felicity Huffman. Gwendoline has guested on other hit shows like NCIS, Greys Anatomy, Castle, The Mentalist and Chuck. She also starred in Emmy nominated American Girl: Ivy & Julie, an Amazon original special. She won two best actress awards for indie feature Heathens & Thieves - Houston International Film Festival and the Iowa Film Festival. She was in movies The Jane Austen Book Club with Emily Blunt & Hugh Dancy, The Magic of Ordinary Days with Keri Russell & Night Skies with AJ Cook & Joe Sikora.
Gwendoline Yeo immigrated from Singapore to San Francisco at eleven. She won Miss Teen Chinatown SF, Miss Asian America & Miss Chinatown USA. She graduated from UCLA Summa Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and has a diploma in piano from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She was discovered by KCRW/NPR executives playing the Chinese Zither at a Chinese New Year party and invited to write, narrate and score her immigrant and ugly duckling journey in a one woman radio show on “The Politics of Culture.” She later turned this into a theatre piece titled "Laughing With My Mouth Wide Open” Both received rave reviews.

Gwendoline has voiced over fifty games and cartoons. At a recent San Diego Comic Con, her character Shinigami in Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, was launched. Four action figures are based on characters or roles voiced by Gwendoline: Paine from FinalFantasyX2, Cato Parassiti in Clone Wars, X-Men’s Domino & Lady Deathstrike. She was the first female and Asian leads in Socom4 as 45 and Yuma in FarCry4, in which she performed her own motion capture. She has been nominated for 3 BTVA awards - Best Actress for Shinigami, Ensemble in FarCry4 and Batman Dark Knight Returns Part 2.
Gwendoline designed a sold out clothing line from which proceeds benefitted the Appalachian region in Kentucky.
Gwendoline was honored as Alumna of the year with the UCLA Asia Pacific Alumni Award in 2016.
